White as Snow...

Kids, I have a new hero... Colgate, Simply White...

Now, you know mama has had some dental work done...lots of it, to be exact. And, I drink tons of coffee and used to be a rather avid smoker...
SO, my teeth- while not disgusting- weren't always the whitest. They are quite sensitive and many of them aren't 100% real...(I'm giving you way too much personal info here...)

BUT, the point is my insurance doesn't cover whitening and I can't use white strips because A. they fucking burn and B. because they will leave my teeth discoloured because of the porcelain-to-teeth ratio....

So, I'm at Duane Reade the other day for toothpaste and I see that the Simply White offers a 14 day money back guaruntee if you don't see results...I figured I'd give it a whirl...

WOOHOO!!!! I'm thrilled that I did...In only 7 days, I noticed such a difference that this is now my new toothpaste of choice.

Trust me on this- run to the market and buy the shit. It's amazing and doesnt taste bad either. I'm thrilled. Why pay so much money for whitenning or endure the pain of those auwful strips- shame on you, Crest!

If you work for Colgate, please, know that I'm a fan for life (for whatever freebies that might give me...)...
I HEART COLGATE!!!!

Get ready, bitches! Her Madgesty is coming to a town near you- or a town far away... I don't know where you people live...

Already stirring up controversy with her 'crusifixion' sequence, Madonna is getting great reviews. Apparently, the church is up in arms over the disco cross....Honey, we all have a cross to bear...let the lady have hers- listen to her message and stop bitching about everything. If you don't like the message, if you don't like the imagery, then stay the fuck at home! No one is forcing you to see it. I don't attend Baptist revivals for the very reason that I don't give a shit what they have to tell me about my life and the things I'm not doing right...

I'll be seeing the show on 2 July in the Garden. Got me some floor seats...woohoo! I'll be updating and letting you know the happenings with the Confessions Tour....
Have you confessed?

Goodnight and Fuck You

No, it's not Jabba....and it's not Wynonna Judd in blackface...

Remember when Star looked like this? Yeah, so does she....
Seems everyone's favourite 'lawyer' is leaving "The View". No one is saying why, but I have a feeling Ms. O'Donnell might have helped to push her fat ass out the door. Too much competition between America's favourite chubby lesbian and America's favourite pushy black lawyer with the fake tits and straight husband....

In anycase, I'm sure Star is moving on bigger and gayer things.... and she does have that bestseller, "Shine" to promote....honey, go back to Payless. They'll take you in a heartbeat...
For a great Star story, check out my bitch 'hotter-thanDratch's' site.

Ps-, from Star's website- "I am the author of the only dictionary that defines me"...honey, I hope its an abridged version cause I'm already starting to snooze...

S.O.S.!!!

(spoiler- this will probably be a simpler, less dramatic, less acted-out version of what hear when you come to my

show...so, if you're one of my readers and/or fans, (yes, I give you the option) it's a sneak

preview...that means you, Carolyn...)

The kids love Mamma Mia...and I can't understand why.

I caught a matinee today (never a good idea...but it was free and I couldn't resist). I realized that I would never pay $100 to see it (albiet, the ticket was on a group discount for $60, and again, I didn't pay for it....but I'm just throwing it out there). I also didn't have my glasses on and got a headache halfway through the show from straining to see...

My reasons for my displeasure-

1. It's fucking slow! I'm a big fag and European at heart, so I love ABBA, natch. But the pacing of the show was turtle, at best. I felt like I was at a community theatre that decided to jazz it up with some ABBA. Not cute.

2. You know I like my girls to hit their notes. I think of Agnetha and Frida belting their hearts out at a Eurovision contest in silver lycra and plastic....the Mamma Mia girls...not so much.

3. It's not a dance show. I'm SO fine with that. I watched the cast and their basic choreography thinking- I could SO do this show- and I'm not a dancer. Most of them were fine kicking their feet a few times and raising their hands, double beat to the (pre-recorded) drum. But, you gotta love the fags who gave it their all- teeth and jazz hands and pretended they were in the dream ballet of 'Oklahoma" or 'Moving Out'...save it for the audition and just go with the moment.

4. It was just a bit hockey. Basic set, mediocre voices, simple choreography, sloppy story that was just a segue for some hot, old, kick ass music. The end, where teh cast comes out and re-does 'Mamma Mia' and surprises the audience with 'Waterloo'- totally my favourite and it was worth the two hours to get to that. But the old ladies were dancing in the aisles and half the audience stood up at the end.

But, I'm ok with that- all of it. If you've seen anything on Broadway this year, you know most of it is the same- shambles...
My question is- how has this show been running for 7 years now- and moreover, how is it still completely sold out in-
NYC, Las Vegas, Capetown, Pretoria, Osaka, Antwerp, Edinburgh, Hamburg, London, Madrid, Manchester, Stockholm, Stuttgart and a North American tour... (on anynight, you can catch it in any of those cities)...not to mention the run in Melbourne, Singapore, Toronto, Auckland and a second North American tour...

The shit has been translated into 5 languages...it amazes me and scares me at the same time....but, so long as the peeps are out supporting live theatre and keeping this show alive, it keeps me going and gives me a job. And Madonna sampled 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' for 'Hung Up'...so there is always that element involved....

I don't want to sound ungrateful...almost everyone I know who has seen it loved it. And, again, it was free. I'm glad I saw it after so many years, but I'm even happier that it cost me nothing except two and a half hours of my time. Wait, two and a half hours....mamma mia!

ps- if anyone from the Mamma Mia casting group reads this, I will totally sign tomorrow for a six month contract. I'm not too good for anything...and I can high kick...

The gods have answered my prayers....the Supreme Court has ruled that my Anna Nicole can seek the inheritence she deserves...After all she put up with, give her a few mil and call it a day...
Finally, people with sense are ruling the roost....(kind of)

However, you'll totally be missed Ms. Day-O'Connor....
