Wow...

Well, well, well...I'm back again, 2 weeks later...My attempts to update from Europe were foiled when my laptop died shortly after my last posting. And since I'm not all about spending two hours in a sweaty London internet cafe to update this shit, I figured I'd just keep you kids waiting...

Back from Europe earlier this week...great trip...cleared my head, got some writing done and just enjoyed the downtime...

Now, back in New York, where I'm gearing up for the event of the summer- my birthday party...Saturday, 24 June...Call for details...

Let's see....what else...

On Tuesday, I graced the stage with my presence at Otto's Shrunken Head for the 'Brutal Honesty" series...went off, of course, like a charm, with a bang...thanks to all who came out...

Thursday, I saw Anthony Rapp, looking beffudled by the subway on 50th and 8th and Lisa Gastineau, who stopped to stare at me, on 57th and Madison...talk about worlds colliding...Id take Lisa any day...

Anyway, there will be more quips to come...just wanted to re-plug in with the world a bit...still waiting for the laptop to get fixed...in the meantime, my teal, dinosaur imac is doing the trick...I hate teal...

The Face of Jetlag...

Hallo, mein Bitches!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I'm writing from across the pond today...Dormagen, Germany to be exact....I've had 6 hours of sleep in the past two days and I'm exhausted...and it shows...
It's cold in the D-land! 18 Celsius which is I-don't-know-what in Farehnheit...I left New York yesterday with temperatures of 86 and to come to this...I have a jacket on in June. Global warming, kids...global warming...

A few things just to mention today-

1. I downloaded the Dixie Chick's new cd (from iTunes- I want my chicks to get there money...no limewire for them!) to take on the plane...I love it...it's different, stringed out, angsty...like a country girl group reincarnation of Nirvana...Natalie Maines, who I used to refer to as 'the fat one' is looking great and sounding even better... All of the songs are deep and so not contrived. I dare say- not typical country lyrics...run and get it....or download- legally, please...Mama Maines has a 22nd St. apartment to pay for...I don't know about the other two...

2. LTU Airlines is amazing....good food, incredible service and good movies- "Walk the Line"...great... I'm excited for the return flight to JFK- "Rumor Has It"...for what this ticket cost, I better get something good.

3. I find it so crazy that at the infamous Hudson News (found at most East Coast airports- except Newark) one can purchase not only "Playboy" (no "Playgirl," however), but also "Hustler" and "Penthouse" (not to mention countless cheap XXX rags) but I couldn't find a copy of "the Advocate" to save my life...I guess I can understand- it is an aiport- a family place...

ps- why do I have a double chin in this picture?...it was taken this morning and I know for a fact that I don't have one right now, only 5 hours later...
